NANOTECH06 - Valence (Espagne) - 8 novembre 2006.

The Valencia city council, through the Foundation of the Valencian Community for Urban Innovation and Knowledge Economy (FIVEC), and in relation with SECO (Secretariat State for Economics Subjects of Switzerland), lead the organisation of the economic, scientific and technological mission that will be hold next November 8th and 9th in Valencia with the purpose of giving a boost to competitiveness, for promoting innovation, increasing the knowledge and the diffusion of new products and materials of companies from the traditional sectors (ceramic, footwear, toys, textile, etc), and emergent sectors (biomedicine, chemical, audio-visual, plastic, etc) of Valencia and its Community.

The Swiss delegation will be represented by the Secretary of State of Economy, Mr. Jean-Daniel Gerber, the Secretary of State of Education and Investigation, Mr. Charles Kleiber, and the Director of the General Secretariat of Professional Formation and Technology, Ms. Ursula Renold.

The goal of this mission is to search for common interests and complementary goals, and produce synergies with the purpose of encouraging several types of Valencian-Swiss collaborations, such as: scientific, technological, business, etc.

The participants of this mission are representatives of SMEs and representatives of polytechnical universities and research institutes.

The invitation is also launched for other IRC’s, companies and research institutions working in the selected sectors wishing to transfer or acquire new technologies through direct meeting of potential partners from Spain and Switzwerland.

The event will begin with the bilateral inauguration of each delegation,they will continue with communications by groups of interests, and will end with individual meetings and visits to laboratories, companies or research institutes.

3D Technology Conference - London - 6 décembre 2006.

3d Technology has become widely used in a diverse range of market sectors from medicine to security to urban design. It provides numerous advantages in detection, broadcasting, planning and display, and it is subsequently essential that industry and academia work together to continually upgrade the available technology. This one-day networking seminar will provide an interactive forum in which academic and commercial representatives can exchange views and debate the most up-to-the-minute progress and challenges in this regularly expanding market. Presentations from BBC, GE Healthcare Biosciences, Arup and Qinetiq.

Promofood 2006 - International Partnership Forum for the Food Industries - Postdam (Germany) - 25 & 26 October 2006.

"PromoFood" is an international partnership forum for companies and research institutions active in the food sector, which takes place for the second time in Potsdam on 25 and 26 October 2006.

"PromoFood" offers a program of carefully planned business-to-business talks for firms and institutions from Germany and abroad:
- Agricultural production
- Distribution and marketing
- Food processing
- Food products research and development
- Logistics
- Miscellaneous
- Packaging and design
- Production and processing technologies

In 2005, more than 80 companies and research institutes participated in the Promofood brokerage event.

"Promofood" is organised by the IFUS & friends e.V. and the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and supported by the IRC North Germany. Participation of companies from outside Germany is free.

6th Annual Biotechnology Conference and Exhbition - London - 11 december 2006.

Running alongside Genesis - the 6th Annual Biotechnology Conference and Exhbition, London IRC has organised the biotechnology brokerage event. This forum for one-to-one meetings is the perfect opportunity for organisation to find potential partners across Europe for product development, research and development, joint ventures, manufacturing, marketing or licensing agreements.

To participate and promote your technologies, simply register, submit a profile online if you have a technology offer or request (these profiles are published online) and request a meeting with organisations whose profiles interests you.

Fees:
The brokerage event and entrance to the exhibition is free of charge. You will receive a discounted rate of the Genesis conference fee is you have registered and submitted a profile by 8th November 2006.
